Kourtney Gibson is President of Loop Capital Markets. She oversees all brand-building efforts at Loop Capital, including the cultivation and enhancement of strategic client relationships across the firm’s various business lines. Ms. Gibson works closely with Loop Capital’s Chairman and CEO in identifying and pursuing firmwide opportunities for growth and operational improvement. Ms. Gibson serves on Loop Capital’s Management and Fairness and Valuation Committees.
Possessing nearly 20 years of experience, Ms. Gibson has extensive knowledge and involvement across all of Loop Capital's platforms and is intricately involved in the firm’s growth. In 1997, Loop Capital’s founding year, Ms. Gibson was an intern at the firm. By 2003, she began her ascension within the ranks of the firm as a corporate investment banking associate. In 2004, she pivoted, and began working directly for the CEO on various internal and external strategic initiatives. One year later, she was appointed head of equity sales and ultimately head of the entire equity division, which she was responsible for taking global just three years after her appointment. In 2015, she would also become responsible for heading the firm’s taxable fixed income division, which would report substantial growth in the 24 months that followed. Finally, in 2016, she was named President of Loop Capital Markets. Ms. Gibson is a CNBC contributor who provides insight, analysis and outlook on the markets for various shows on the network.
Ms. Gibson received a Master’s of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami. In addition, she is a member of The Economic Club of Chicago and the Treasury Market Practices Group sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Ms. Gibson sits on the board of trustees at Viterbo University and the University of Miami as well as the boards of the University of Miami Alumni Association (President), Dibia Dream and Chicago Scholars Foundations. She holds Series 7, 57, 24 and 63 FINRA registrations.
